01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the heart of Kathu, Phuket, CHEBUREKI offers an authentic Eastern European dining experience that transports you straight to Russia with every bite. Specializing in traditional Russian and Eastern European cuisine, this cozy restaurant and café is a hidden gem for those craving hearty yet delicate flavors away from the typical island fare.

Here, the menu is a celebration of classic dishes prepared with genuine care and a clear devotion to authenticity. Diners rave about the borscht, which is richly layered with tender meat and a deeply savory broth, delivering a soul-warming, velvety texture that practically melts in your mouth. The pelmeni, delicate dumplings bursting with savory fillings, offer a homemade feel that few places can match on the island.

Of course, the star of the show is the chebureki itself – golden, crispy crescent-shaped pastries filled with juicy meat or flavorful cheese. Each bite is a perfect balance of crunchy outer shell and a tender, savory interior, making it clear why patrons can’t resist ordering more. One frequent visitor fondly notes that despite the modest portions, the quality and freshness more than make up for it, inviting adventurous eaters to try a variety of dishes to fully satisfy their appetite.

Beyond the food, CHEBUREKI’s atmosphere is warm and inviting, enhanced by friendly staff who make every guest feel like family. Whether it’s your first time diving into traditional Russian cuisine or you’re a returning enthusiast, the combination of authentic recipes, affordable prices, and genuine hospitality makes this spot a memorable dining destination on Phuket.

From the cheerful, attentive service to the thoughtfully curated menu, every moment spent here leaves an impression of true culinary craftsmanship and cultural pride. If you’re on the lookout for a taste of Eastern Europe’s rich food heritage paired with an intimate, welcoming setting, CHEBUREKI is a must-visit.

Great little authentic place, good food and overall good prices, though the portions are a bit small. You will need to order 2-3 dishes to be satisfied.

Great Eastern European food! Not many places make real borsh and pelmeni, but in this restaurant it tasted homemade! Great staff and service. Recommend to everyone!

I recently visited the “Chebureki” café in Phuket, and I have to say — this place is truly impressive! I haven’t tried such tasty and “clean” Russian food even back in Russia. The Herring under a fur coat was outstanding, fresh, and perfectly made. The borscht was just incredible — tender meat, rich broth, and authentic flavor. The chebureks with meat and cheese were a delight, and both the Olivier salad and the pickled cucumbers were top notch. What really amazed me was the level of cleanliness. The dining area is spotless, dishes are cleared quickly, and everything inside is neat and organized. And even the restroom is extremely clean. I believe this reflects the owners’ true attitude toward food itself: if they care so much about the final place you visit, then the kitchen must be handled with the same high standards. And that’s exactly what you can feel in every dish here — quality and care. The staff are polite, friendly, and welcoming, and there’s convenient parking as well. I’m absolutely impressed and will definitely return. Huge thanks to the owners for creating such a place where you can enjoy honest, delicious Russian cuisine in Thailand. If you live in Phuket or just visiting — this café is a must!

If you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy authentic Russian street food in Phuket, Chebureki Café is a hidden gem worth discovering. The chebureki are freshly made, with a crispy golden crust and juicy, flavorful fillings that bring a real taste of home. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the relaxed atmosphere makes it a great place to take a break from the tropical heat. The only downside is that the seating area is quite small, which means it can get crowded during peak hours. Also, parking nearby can be a bit tricky. Still, the quality of the food and the warm service more than make up for it. Chebureki Café offers a comforting and satisfying experience for anyone craving something familiar and delicious while traveling through Phuket.

As a Russian, I can confidently say that the food here is really good. We ordered the dumplings and chebureki, and both dishes were outstanding. The dumplings were juicy, flavorful, and tasted truly homemade. The chebureki were equally impressive — generously filled, perfectly cooked, and very juicy. Stuff is super friendly, and welcoming ! We will definitely be returning with my husband and look forward to visiting again.
